Keynote Speaker At Biblical Manhood Conference Definitely Wearing Women’s Pants

"INDIANAPOLIS, IN—The keynote speaker at the God’s Design for Biblical Manhood Conference was definitely wearing a pair of women’s pants, sources attending the event confirmed Wednesday.

Clad in a form-fitting cashmere sweater with plunging neckline, oversized glasses, and pants that looked like they were designed for a 14-year-old girl, the speaker gave a 45-minute talk on what it meant to be a “real man of God.”

“God has specifically set up gender roles so that we can relate to each other as men and women as He designed,” he said, taking a moment re-spritz his hair with product. “God has called you men to lead your homes and show your wives that they can count on you to be a true, strong man of God.”

“It’s the butterfly design on the pockets that tipped us off,” attendee Carl Manning, 38, said. “A few people thought they were just super-trendy men’s pants, but as soon as we saw the rhinestones on the pockets, we knew for sure.”

Via the Babylon Bee, on target as usual.

How much you wanna bet it's one of the female members in his family, but mostly likely his wife, that put him up to it?

Lee Jackson, if you want religious topics then Dalrock is the only game in town. I really like his analysis of feminism in churches and how to recognize it. For example he talks a lot about the CBMW and complementarianism, and how it pits demands on men but not women.

What happened to Dalrocks link on the side?

I would unquestionably provide ten out of ten for such incredible content.

I think he knows it's satire. But it's just a slight exaggeration of what's actually taking place. Christianity has become feminized to the point where men have to apologize for being men. I just read a book "Seven Ways To Be Her Hero". I thought it was going to be a book on Christian Masculinity. I was wrong. Literally one of the first sentences is "I am not sure what I am apologizing for, but as a husband for over 30 years, I have lived long enough to know that at times a mans best course of action is to apologize, and quickly, to a woman". Consider it done. Again, I am sorry. Very sorry".

Oh for crying out loud.

And the book goes on to say that we have to EARN womens respect.

Are. You. Kidding.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that. What it does say is "1 Peter 3: 3 Wives, respect and obey your husbands in the same way. Then the husbands who do not obey the word of God will want to know God. They will want to know God because their wives live good lives, even though they say nothing about God."

And:

Ephesians 5:33 “Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband”

NOWHERE does it say we have to act a certain way first. In fact, if we are being total jerks and even unsaved, they are still to respect us, like that first verse says.

Reminds me of that headline (maybe the same source?) about the woman who, after a 30 minute sermon on how awesome she is, was left wondering why she needed Jesus. These days stories like this feel less like satire and more like gallows humor.
